Spring is here â the buds are already swelling! After the vines drip or the wounds bleed, the buds swell and then the vine sprouts. The buds of the vine are called eyes; The leaves then develop from them in the first step. As a rule, a bud consists of a main eye and two secondary eyes.
The secondary eyes have less growth and fertility potential, but can develop into shoots if the main eye is damaged or destroyed.
